It’s Sketchy Sunday and we’re highlighting a NEW sketch today – #122.
Designer, Jackie Ashton, made a really wonderful scrapbook page using Sketch #122 as her inspiration. And, she was inspired – It’s beautiful! I love the different papers she used as her background and the embellishment clusters she placed on her page to really bring interest to her photographs. It makes me wish I was there experiencing this musical sing-a-long right along with her.

Jackie used quite a few items from our sister site, Scraps and Ink Crafts, in the embellishment clusters. Are you familiar with their Etsy shop? They specially curate Disney-inspired items just for you! You’ll love what they have to offer!
In the large cluster on the bottom right of her page there are five items I want to talk about. If you’re familiar with Scraps and Ink Crafts products, do you recognize anything?
One of Jackie’s favorite die cuts to use is ‘Stitched Mouse’. It goes with everything! Can you see the double line of little stitches around the mouse head?

Snuggled up behind the ‘Stitched Mouse’ is a ‘Mouse Tag’. I like how she used two separate papers to give it more dimension.

There is also some fun sparkle in the form of a ‘Sparkle Gem’ mouse head facet in the very front. ‘Sparkle Gems’ are one of those embellishments that can be used on anything and everything!

Here is another look of that same embellishment cluster from a different angle.
Do you see the film strips tucked in the back of the cluster? It’s made using the ‘Film Strip’ metal cutting die. Using black paper makes sure this element didn’t disappear behind everything else.

And, behind that is a small padded applique from the pastel collection. Jackie added some other items from her stash to make this cluster truly spectacular.

Here is another padded applique tucked behind one of her pictures on the top left.
Overall, this is a beautiful page! Thanks, Jackie!
What is your favorite part? Personally, I have more than one…I’m a huge fan of embellishment clusters and I love the different paper strips she used as a background. But, my absolute favorite is that her pictures are front and center. Share your favorites with us in the comments!
