Hope you’re having a beautiful and relaxing Sunday! If you’re like me, you’re looking forward to doing a bit of scrapbooking but may need a little help getting started. Well, you’re in luck because we’ve got a library full of sketches ready to use for inspiration. Jackie did just that for her gorgeous page!
Sketch #114 from the DCC Sketch Library:
“Is It Tea Time?” by Jackie Ashton
Isn’t her page just gorgeous!? Because the Mad Hatter’s jacket is a rather bright orange, Jackie used a toned down version for her background and used the brighter orange for much smaller accents. This is an excellent technique when you want to use the brighter colors in your photos, but don’t want them to overwhelm the page. Smaller pops of bright colors are always a good way to go!
Jackie used THREE different cutting dies from Scraps & Ink Crafts on her page! The Alice in Teapot die was perfect for this adorable accent!
Jackie also used the Stitched Mouse and Mouse Circles cutting dies to create lots of great layers and accents.
Her pops of blue from the Sparkle Facets embellishments add a fun bit of shine and dimension.
How does the sketch and Jackie’s beautiful page inspire you?
