Hey, Everyone! I spent a few moments browsing online looking at projects to make with washi tape. Wow! I was amazed with the amount of creativity that’s out in the world. I now have some fun ideas to do with my ‘Haunted Mansion’ washi tape from Scraps & Ink Crafts when I get back from my trip to Disneyland this month.
‘Haunted Mansion’ washi tape
I’m a journaler. That’s not an official word, oh well. I journal (that’s better). I add pictures and papers to my journal pages and I let the images enhance my words. I know, it’s just the opposite of most scrapbookers who use pictures to tell the story and use very few words. It’s my method. I like it. Washi tape is one of the things I use every time I add a picture collage in my journal. I like to use washi tape that goes together. That’s one of the things I like about the washi tape collections from Scraps & Ink Crafts – they’ve been especially curated to match.
Are you wondering how I can fit pictures into an A5 journal? I print four pictures on 4”x6” photo paper, trim them and arrange them with paper, ink, stamps, stickers, washi tape, etc. I’m starting to add die cut images too! I also add ticket stubs, coffee cup logos, crocheted buttons…just everyday items that help document my journey. They don’t take up much room and they are beautiful to me. I love things that are organized and beautiful and these little collages in my journal are both. I have a small collection of washi tape that is slowly growing and I have my few bits of ‘Haunted Mansion’ I’m looking forward to using.
I like to go back and read my words and remember the feelings both the words and the picture collages invoke. Perhaps someday I’ll be brave enough to share. My style is simple, quiet, minimalist, and a little vintage with a botanical leaning. I honestly think making a collage with ‘Haunted Mansion’ washi tape is going to be very fun and I’m looking forward to it.
How do you save your memories? Do you scrapbook? Journal? Are you too busy and want to start? Please share. I’d love to see what you come up with and perhaps I’ll be brave enough to share too. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram.
