Since I am not a fan of my own handwriting (ironic, since I am a published lettering artist), one of the things I like to do is plan my journaling ahead of time and then PRINT it directly onto my page before I start adding other elements or photos. I use a wide format printer, so this is easy once you get the hang of it. When I use this method, I try to use a casual “handwriting” font so that it appears less rigid or “printed”. I add an even more personal touch by underlining my journaling with a pen AFTER I’ve printed it out.

I wanted to add a little nod to “The Mouse” so I used a decorative edge punch with this black floral paper so it would be a bit more visible.

I’m so happy you stopped by today!
