Disney Creative Co. June “Colors of Magic” Challenge
Are you in the mood for some bright, fun colors?! Our Design Team really had a great time working with this month’s color palette! We’ve got vibrant primary colors in an apple red, cornflower blue and sunny yellow, plus a punch of juicy orange and light emerald. There are so many great uses for this color combination so read on for colorful ideas from the team.
“Magical Thank You Tags” by Natalie Strand
Natalie created adorable “thank you” tags for every single color in the palette! We love how she took a tone-on-tone approach with each one and chose perfectly matching padded appliques from our sister Etsy shop- Scraps & Ink Crafts for embellishments. While she definitely created a cohesive “set” of tags, each one is unique in it’s own way and would look great as a stand-alone accent for a card or gift bag.
“All Star Weekend” by Emily Adams
We are ALL about this fun page Emily created with this month’s color palette! She definitely hit on every single color perfectly! And just LOOK at those faces! Those are the smiles of an adorable couple having a fabulous time!
“Playtime With Pluto” by Heather Ribble
Heather opted to change the palette up a bit for her page and we are loving it! She focused on the green and blue but added bits of purply-pink for a twist! She perfectly matched the pattern and colors of the background in her adorable photos of her son meeting Pluto. SOOO stinkin’ cute!

“Let’s Ride Slinky” by Vicki Von Richter
Okay, I don’t know about you, but I think Slinky Dog Dash is hands-down one of the cutest rides ever! And this page of Vicki’s with so much fun washi perfectly captures that. Swoon! Creating your own unique background like Vicki’s is a great technique to use up a variety of washi tapes!
“Slinky is So Much Fun” by Michelle Sinclair
No stranger to color, Michelle does an outstanding job with any and all color challenges! She also created subtle and not-so-subtle nods to Disney’s Pixar with her use of Pixar-themed metal cutting dies from our sister site- Scraps & Ink Crafts.
“Super Incredible Day” by Lacey Robin
Last but certainly NOT least, Lacey’s page just POPS with fun colors and adorable embellishments! She beautifully followed a tried-and-true triangle design technique and created three distinct clusters to showcase her photos and journaling- each spot featuring a confetti filled mouse head shaker embellishment.
Love this palette as much as we do? Give it a go and share your own unique creations with us! We want to see your finished projects, so share to our Facebook page and/or tag us on Instagram!
Have a magical day!
