I created this not-Christmassy 8.5×11 layout using the Christmas-inspired red-and-green palette for the December 2021 “Color of Magic” challenge– it was perfect to tell the story of our dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe in 2016!
supplies:
Scraps & Ink Crafts: Facets, Bits & Pieces (Jewel Tone), Washi Set (Mickey Mouse 1)
patterned paper: Shimelle Never Grow Up: “Live Outdoors,” Shimelle Starshine 6×6 paper pad, Echo Park Paper Beautiful Life: “Borders” (B-side)
white cardstock: The Paper Studio
stickers: Echo Park Paper Beautiful Life: cardstock stickers, Jenni Bowlin Banner Stickers
tags: Jillibean Soup Notebook Tags
enamel dots: The Paper Studio
embossing folder: We R Memory Keepers
other: embroidery floss, machine stitching
Lovely layout Natalie! Are those coasters?? I haven’t eaten here (yet!!)
Super fun page!!
@EmilyAdams — yes! I saved the coasters, true memory-keeper style haha
I just noticed the detail of the different colors of patterned papers peeking out from either side of the embossed piece and then you used the opposite color for your banners. Ha! Such a great design concept with a really beautiful effect! Mind if I copy this idea?
Thanks, @Nancy Burke! Of course you may scraplift this idea!! 🙂
Love how you used the coasters…so cute!
@mommyribs– thank you! It’s always exciting to be able to incorporate that ephemera we save, right?!
