Hey there DCC peeps! How are you holding up with Christmas right around the corner? Are you still trying to get the last bit of décor hung up, treats baked or cards in the mail?

I’m struggling with ALL of the above since I’m having the inside of my house painted at the moment and who knows when it will be back to normal! Crossing fingers that it will be done soon and I will still have time to decorate for Christmas. I’m having the painters hold off on my craft room/office until late January so that I can still work and make pretty stuff! Speaking of stuff, it’s time for another challenge and this one is all about “stuff”! Specifically your stuff, a.k.a.- your “stash”.

DECEMBER “Once Upon A Stash” Challenge- 6″ x 6″ Paper Pads!

Our “Once Upon A Stash” challenge is, hands down, my favorite challenge that Kristin creates for us each month here at DCC! Why? Because I have a big ol’ “stash”  full of stuff! Her challenges always get me to dig out and use up things I have forgotten about including my 6″ x 6″ paper pads!

Check out Kristin’s beautiful scrapbook page she created for this challenge from her own stash:

She used pieces cut from a 6″ x 6″ paper pad to make her chevron “strips” that run in vertical rows behind her photos. At first glance, each row looks like it was cut from a longer strip of paper. We LOVE that Kristin cleverly placed them “just so” to create this effect from the much smaller sheets of paper.

Her fun “Epcot” title piece is from our Disney Creative Co. Cut File Library found HERE.

Do you spy the fun pink globe silhouette with mouse ears? That is actually an easy-to-use metal cutting die found at our sister site, Scraps & Ink Crafts, that you can get HERE.

Taking a closer look, we can see that the light brown and white striped Mickey head is actually cut from a thin sheet of printed cork. This is a great way to add a bit of texture and dimension without adding a lot of bulk to the page.

Now it’s your turn to take on this challenge for your chance to win authentic Disney merchandise!

Whether you’re a scrapbooker, card-maker, altered artist or bujo journal junkie you’re challenge is to use 6″ x 6″ papers in your project!

Don’t have 6″ x 6″ paper pads in your stash? No worries! Just trim down any larger papers to 6″ x 6″, grab your glue and get your craft on!

Deadline to enter is Friday, January 7th 11:59 PM (MDT).

Good luck and have a magical day!
