Happy Friday! Guess What’s next week and I am SOOOO not ready for?! Yup, Christmas! Where did the time go?! I had so many more things I wanted to accomplish before the holidays got here, but I haven’t done a thing! My tree isn’t even up. (sigh) Not a single treat baked, present wrapped, nor card sent. Nada. Zilch. Zero.
At least in the short amount of time I’ve been able to squeeze a bit of scrapbooking into my day, the hardest part was done for me and I was able to use Kristin’s December “Incredi-Sketch” from this week’s challenge! Aaaaand it’s a double-pager! That’s like a two-for-one!
Of course, you can use this sketch in a variety of ways: turn it, flip it, or just use one side of the sketch for a single page layout.
I knew exactly what photos I wanted to use as soon as I saw the sketch!
I was able to get several decent photos the last time we were in Magic Kingdom for the Very Merry Christmas Party, so I wanted to use some of them.
For the left side of my layout, I added the title vertically down the edge because I simply ran out of room to put it anywhere else!
I used a couple of products from our sister Etsy site- Scraps & Ink Crafts- The Swirl Wave Mickey Mouse metal cutting die which I just LOVE to use for just about anything, and glittery red padded appliques from the “Bits & Pieces” collection.
For the right side of my page, I added a cute little reindeer embellishment that I wrapped with tinsel just around the edges.
More silver swirl wave die cuts and another glittery padded applique and my page is all done!
Kristin created this frosty-fun layout of Princesses Anna and Elsa and her family at a meet and greet in Disneyland!
Below is the left side of Kristin’s layout. Love how she added the red paper bits to her page to tie in the red t-shirts the kids were all wearing in the photos.
The right side of her layout uses more fun layers with snowflakes. Even though this trip to Disneyland was in the heat of the summer, you can almost feel a chill in the air with all of the frosty embellishments.
The silver sequins add some shimmery touches!
More snowflakes and sparkles!
Michelle also created an amazing holiday layout using the sketch.
If you’ve ever been to Hollywood Studios during the holidays, you know it is a theme park full of COLOR!!! Michelle did a great job conveying that with her layout.
The left side of Michelle’s layout uses a fun green Nordic pattern!
The right side of her layout is just as whimsical and fun! Love how she used the swag garland across the top of her right side page and carried it over the the left side page to tie the two together.
Howe adorable is that dinosaur bauble!? Perfectly ties in with the theme of the layout and photos of Gertie the dinosaur that is found in Hollywood Studios.
Using this sketch is a great way to capture your holiday and/or park memories! The double page design is also perfect for fitting lots of photos on a layout.
Now it’s your turn to take on this challenge for your chance to win authentic Disney merchandise!
This is for all of you scrapbookers out there!
Use this sketch as-is, turn it, flip it, or reverse it and make it work for you! Create your own two-page layout and share with us in the gallery for your chance of winning the monthly prize.
Deadline to enter is Friday, January 7th 11:59 PM (MDT).
Good luck and have a magical day!
