Is it hot where you are? It’s pretty darn hot here in Idaho. I hope you’re staying cool!

I must confess: I actually look forward to the scorching heat for one reason and one reason alone: my favorite summertime treat- homemade lemonade! Yup! I buy bags and bags of lemons all summer long and keep a big ol’ pitcher full of it chilling in the fridge and ready to pour over a tall glass of ice!

What do I do while sipping on that lemonade? I scroll through Instagram drooling over everyone’s scrapbook pages and projects, of course!

This week is no different as I share the DCC Design Team’s fabulous projects. Definitely drool worthy!

So pour yourself a tall glass of lemonade and read below to see their take on this month’s  sketch. 🙂

DCC Sketch 118

“Sketchy Fun” by Lacey Robin

Lacey followed the sketch quite closely and we love how her bright colors pop against the white background. But we are totally here for that amazing background grid she created with a stencil and spray mist!

What else do we love? The “Stitched Mouse Head” die cut is a definite fave of ours as it is so versatile and works well with LOTS of Disney pages and projects!

“Dream Boy” by Heather Ribble

We adore how well Heather puts together so many different patterned papers and still keeps her pages from looking too busy or cluttered, not to mention what a great job she did following the sketch!

Heather also used two fabulous cutting dies for both the green mouse flourish and title. Bits of glitter add just a hint of sparkle that we love!

Supplies by Scraps & Ink Crafts: Mouse Flourish Cutting Die, Dream Cutting Die.

“Meet & Greet” by Jackie Ashton

Check out the gorgeous details on Jackie’s page! From her machine sewing to the layered circles made with the Mouse Circles cutting die, we are definitely impressed with her take on the sketch. The silicone flatback glove hands embellishment is a perfect finishing touch.

“Snack Love” by Michelle Sinclair

“Snack love” indeed! And “page love” if I do say so myself!

Michelle created a beautiful misted background on this page showcasing photos of some yummy snacks from Walt Disney World. The fun washi is a perfect addition to Michelle’s page and the acrylic pieces of food add truly unique and whimsical 3-D elements to her colorful page!

Supplies by Scraps & Ink Crafts: Summer Mini Bits, Treat Cabochons-Set #1, Main Street Washi Tape Set

“Oh Bother” by Emily Adams

Emily did a fantastic job scrapping these adorable photos of Winnie the Pooh! Her bits of washi, sparkly facets, and scattered butterfly embellishments are fantastic. The gold foil background is just magical!

“Zebra!” by Natalie Strand

If you’ve ever been on the Kilimanjaro Safari in Animal Kingdom, you know that one of the animals that always seem to becamera-ready are the Zebras! Natalie showcased her photos of these fascinating creatures using the sketch as her guide. We think she did a fabulous job! We especially love her use of the film strip die tucked behind her photos and the Zebra Acrylic Mouse Head alongside a wooden Mouse head embellishment. Such a great pairing!

We hope the Design Team’s pages and their take on this month’s sketch have inspired you to pour that tall glass of lemonade and create something magical!
